Wednesday morning, we woke up to a nation in turmoil. Conflicted. Divided. Some are celebrating, hopeful. Others are disappointed, bitter, or afraid.
We woke up to a nation suddenly taking to the streets to make its voice heard. But that voice is far from unified. We don’t seem to know who to trust.
Wednesday morning, we woke up to our own hopes and fears about the future. We woke up with the knowledge that we can’t see what’s going to happen tomorrow, or next year, or in a decade. We don’t know where our country will be at that point. Hard as we try, we can’t really predict, and certainly can’t control, our own destiny. It comes with being finite, human, and it brings a lot of uncertainty at times like this.
